Case Foundation Company’s full complement of deep foundation services anchor major commercial development in the heart of downtown Chicago.

When construction began on a long neglected square block in Chicago’s Loop, Case met the challenge of this complex and fast-tracked project. 65,000 sf of 36” thick slurry wall surrounded the underground parking garage and also provided access for a new CTA rail line; secant pile walls protected adjacent streets and structures; and 144 caissons – both rock and hardpan – supported the high rise structures. Finally, structural steel column sections placed in selected caissons enabled the top-down construction program to proceed.
