Lamb Blvd

Las Vegas, NV

The Lamb Blvd Improvement Project involved constructing a new portion of Lamb Blvd. over the UPRR tracks in North Las Vegas to connect existing sections of roadway. Supporting the bridge are 49 drilled shafts ranging in diameter from 24” to 72” and ranging in length from 20’ to 99’. 72” diameter pier shafts required the installation of permanent CMP Liners to accommodate cutting concrete off 8’ below top of shaft design elevation and working grade. Embedded column reinforcing steel was set into CMP transition area immediately following placement of drilled shaft concrete and guyed off in position. Concrete was then placed to top of shaft elevation to complete the transition area. Drilling penetrated numerous zones of anticipated caliche common in the Las Vegas area.
