Rio Rancho Presbyterian Hospital

From November 2009 to January 2010, Case Foundation completed auger cast piles at the new Presbyterian Hospital in Rio Rancho, NM. Case Foundation installed 288, 24” diameter augercast piles ranging from 40’-0 to 75’-0 in depth. This project was value engineered from 30” drilled shafts over to augercast piles in the design/estimate phase by Case. The project averaged about 22 piles per day. Case’s scope included furnishing and fabrication of reinforcement. We performed a load test using an O cell test method and reduced the pile lengths by 5’-0 based on the results from the test.
